Gerhard Toews, Research Fellow
Gerhard Toews is a research fellow at the Oxford Centre for the Analysis of Resource Rich Economies, Department of Economics, University of Oxford. He recently completed his DPhil in Economics at the University of Oxford and also holds an MSc in Economics (with distinction) from the University of Edinburgh.
His research focuses on the empirical investigation of local impacts of natural resource booms and busts from the locals' (e.g. effects of income, employment, expenditure, expectations etc) and from the firms' perspective (e.g. development of backward and forward linkages, production costs, capacity constraints etc).
